A 22-year-old West End man has been charged following an alleged wounding incident in the Fortitude Valley during the early hours of Monday morning.
Police were called to Barry Parade between Brunswick St and Saint Pauls Tce, Fortitude Valley shortly before 1am following reports of a disturbance.
After arriving at the scene, police officers found a 22-year-old man allegedly armed with a large knife and a 57-year-old Central Queensland man with a wound to his head.
The 57-year-old man was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries for treatment.
The 22-year-old man has been charged with wounding and going armed so as to cause fear.
He is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday, May 26.
