Footage has emerged of the parents of a 10-year-old boy rescuing him from alleged kidnappers south of Brisbane.
In the incident, captured on CCTV and obtained by 7News, the boy is retrieved from the back seat of a vehicle on a Logan street.
He was allegedly “forcibly” kidnapped by a man at Adventure Park, Woodridge, on Friday, after a child allegedly threw a rock at a car.
The parents of the boy are alleged to have chased and confronted the accused kidnappers.
Tauvela Soe, 27, of Woodridge, was refused bail on Saturday on charges of kidnapping and assault occasioning bodily harm. He will reappear in court on June 10.
A Woodridge man, 22, and Kingston woman, 29, have also been charged with kidnapping and assault occasioning bodily harm and will appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on May 16.
Acting Deputy Police Commissioner Chris Stream said on Sunday: “There will be a number of allegations which police will allege occurred involving interactions between those three persons, a 10-year-old child and also persons (who) were related to that 10-year-old child.
“Currently they’re allegations but obviously, really scary for a child to be involved in that type of (alleged) incident – as you would appreciate also very scary for parents involved, having a child allegedly abducted.”
