Warner teen seriously injured in hit and run at Sumner

Police are hunting a hoon who allegedly ran down a teenage girl in Brisbane on Saturday night and fled the scene.

A teenage girl has been seriously injured after she was struck by an alleged hoon in a hit and run in Brisbane.

Police were called to Spine St, Sumner, in Brisbane’s southwest about 11.30pm Saturday to reports that a 17-year-old girl had been hit as she crossed the road by a ute that was being driven recklessly.

The driver of the ute and a number of other vehicles had allegedly fled the scene before police arrived.

The girl suffered serious injuries.

Police are looking for a white Holden Commodore VE ute with no attached registration plates and pre-existing damage on its left-hand side panels.

The driver is described as male, caucasian in appearance with a bald head and tattoos on the left side of his face.

Queensland police have released footage of the white Holden ute and are urging anyone with information to come forward immediately. Information to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
