A 17-year-old boy is in a critical condition after a single vehicle crash on the Sunshine Coast on Monday afternoon.
Critical care paramedics were called to Pierce Ave at Meridan Plains at 3.48pm after reports that a car had lost control and crashed into a tree.
Police confirmed that the teenager had to be freed from the car by emergency services.
He was transferred to the Royal Brisbane Hospital with critical injuries.
The remaining three passengers, a 17-year-old female driver and two female passengers aged 16 and 17 were transported in a stable condition with minor injuries to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.
