Two men stabbed in horrifying attack

Harrowing footage has captured the moment a man ran from a Brisbane unit, covered in blood and clutching his neck following an alleged stabbing.

Emergency services rushed to Denison Ct at Capalaba about 1.20pm on Wednesday after reports two men had been stabbed.

A 33-year-old man was allegedly stabbed in the chest and neck, while another man, 50, is alleged to have been stabbed in the torso. They were both taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.

Queensland Police Service said a third man, a 27-year-old Redland Bay man who was known to the two men, allegedly fled the scene in a white Ford Falcon.

QPS said the man and the car were found in Redland Bay, with police declaring two crime scenes.

The man has since been charged with one count of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, one count of wounding and two counts of wilful damage.

He is expected to appear at Cleveland Magistrates Court on Thursday.

Lisa Holliday heard screaming before she rushed outside and performed lifesaving first aid on one of the men.

“I ran over and screamed out for some gloves and started to give him first aid, laid him down because he wasn’t laying down and put pressure on the wounds,” she said.

“I heard the screaming from a woman that alerted me to it.”

Ms Holliday said it took about five minutes for the ambulance to come.

“It feels like it takes a lot longer when you’re trying to save someone from bleeding out,” she said.

“But yeah, it was around about five minutes, I think and then the ambulance came and they took over. I managed to get him into the ambulance.”

Ms Holliday said when she was doing first aid she was making sure he was alive and present.

“He was slipping into unconsciousness,” she said.

“He was telling me that he needed more pressure put on his neck. I was reassuring him that he’s going to he’s going to make it and it was going to be okay.”

Ms Holliday said a few people came out to help.

“There was a really lovely lady praying for him,” she said

Another woman said it was terrifying.

“I heard a series of screaming, which drew my attention over to the back,” she said.

“There was a series of dogs barking as well.”

The woman said there was a crowd that formed on the street after the incident.

“This is definitely scary to occur literally in the neighbouring property area,” she said.

“So it is quite unsettling for me to see all of this unfold.

Another woman said she saw a white car leave the scene as soon as the incident occurred. “There was just a lot of family and friends I think around him,” she said.

“They were yelling about the guy who’d hurt him.”

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed that a total of four people were assessed by paramedics.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
