A group of thieves who stole toys from a Capalaba store and assaulted an employee just five days before Christmas are on the run from police.
Queensland Police were called to the toy store on Redland Bay Rd on Tuesday about 2.45pm where three people entered the shop and stole a large amount of toys.
It’s understood the trio filled baskets with toys they grabbed off the shelves before trying to leave the store.
A staff member tried to stop the group when they tried to leave but the 41-year-old was assaulted.
She suffered some minor injuries in the ordeal.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision from Redland Bay Rd between 2.30pm and 3pm on Tuesday to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
