Three youths have been charged with the attempted murder of a 17-year-old boy, following a night of alleged gang violence in Brisbane’s inner suburbs late last month.
Detectives from the Morningside Child Protection and Investigation Unit have charged two youths, both aged 17, and one 15-year-old boy following the alleged assault of the 17-year-old boy at an apartment complex in Cordelia St, West End, on August 28.
Police will allege the incident is linked to another event from the same evening, when another 17-year-old boy was allegedly repeatedly bashed at an apartment complex in Milton about 3am.

Ten people were charged with his attempted murder, while three of those have now also been charged with the attempted murder of the second boy in West End.
The investigation, named Operation Tango Lithium remains ongoing.
“Police take this level of violence seriously and we encourage members of the public to contact crime stoppers if they have any further information,” said Detective Acting Inspector Warren Gibbs.
While at the time of the linked Milton incident, police said they were investigating “some form of potential retaliation between two groups of these young people,” as an alleged motive.
Detective Superintendent Tony Fleming earlier this month said some of the people allegedly involved had labelled themselves as members of a gang.
“Some of the young people involved label themselves as being members of a gang and in any common language demonstrating the attributes of a gang,” he said.
Investigations into both incidents remain ongoing.
