Kefu underwent emergency surgery after being rushed to hospital in a critical condition with stab wounds to his abdomen.

His wife Rachel had surgery for a severe arm injury, their 21-year-old son was stabbed in the back and arm and their 18-year-old daughter received injuries to her arm and hand.

“Wow,” Kefu wrote today on his Facebook account. “Humbling to see the outpouring of love and well wishes from family, friends, community members and the general public.”
