A teenage boy has been charged with wilful damage following a housefire in the Bundaberg suburb of Avenell Heights.
According to the Queensland Ambulance Service, the incident unfolfed at 8.58pm Monday.
Paramedics took a man in his 50s to Bundaberg Hospital after he suffered smoke inhalation in the incident.
Police confirmed they charged the teen with the offence, alleging they set fire to curtains in the house.
They will appear in children‘s court at a later date.
