A teenager involved in a serious crash on Thursday that closed down Brisbane’s Centenary Mwy for several hours has been charged.
The 19-year-old from Coopers Plains was arrested after the two-vehicle crash left one of Brisbane’s main roads at gridlock for over two hours, with commuters forced to seek alternate routes.
Police on Friday morning revealed the teen will front court, after the car he was driving in was identified as an alleged stolen vehicle.
Both the teen and the driver from the other car involved in the collision were injured in the mid-morning Indooroopilly crash.
Both were taken to hospital in a stable condition.
The teen will front Brisbane Magistrates Court on two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, one count of dangerous driving and one count of burglary.
