South Townsville stabbing: 27-year-old Beaconsfield man charged with attempted murder
A man has been charged with attempted murder following what police allage was a fight between work colleagues on a Townsville street that left a man in a serious condition with stabbing injuries to his neck and shoulder.

A man has been charged with attempted murder following a fight on a Townsville street that has left another man in hospital with multiple stab wounds.
Police were called to Nelson St about 1.20pm on Tuesday after multiple triple-0 calls reporting a man had been stabbed.
Acting Senior Sergeant Jayson Cooke said police will allege the men are known to each other and were working together at the residence, and do not live there.
“There was an altercation between two men working on a shed in a residence in South Townsville,” Sgt. Cooke said.
“As a result, the victim has sustained what appear to be knife wounds and has been transported to the Townsville University Hospital for medical treatment.”
They arrested a 27-year-old Beaconsfield man at the scene and later charged him one count of attempted murder. He will appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court today.
A 38-year-old South Townsville man was taken to hospital with a cut to the neck and puncture wounds in his back and shoulder. He remains in hospital is a serious but stable condition.
Investigations are continuing.
