Multiple offenders are on the run after breaking into a Brisbane house, with shots fired, overnight in a terrifying home invasion.
Emergency services were called to an Edith St property at Deagon shortly after midnight following reports of a disturbance.
Initial investigations the offenders forced their way into a home after shooting a glass door and were confronted by a man and a woman inside.
During the confrontation, the offender shot a gun towards a kitchen chair and the residents hid.
The offender then took off shortly afterwards in a white Subaru Outlander in the direction of Rainbow St, Sandgate.

One neighbour saw three people running from the house after a loud “bang”, before they took off in a rush up the street.
It is understood neither victim sustained physical injuries during the confrontation but were taken to hospital as a precaution.
Nothing was stolen and early investigations suggest it may be a targeted attack.
The offenders were seen entering a white Subaru Outback or Mitsubishi Outlander.and fleeing the scene in the direction of Rainbow Street, Sandgate.
The victims are renters who only moved to the area a few months ago.
Neighbours said the area was usually very quiet.

Detective Inspector John Mison says police are appealing for information on the movements and whereabouts of the white Subaru Outlander.
“Detectives will examine all avenues of inquiry, including ballistics testing, and all witness accounts to locate these offenders.
“Anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage, particularly in relation to the vehicle, is urged to come forward.”
