Shocking video shows man’s face being stomped in Fortitude Valley brawl

Harrowing footage of a violent brawl in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley party precinct on Saturday night shows the moment one man falls victim to a vicious head stomp.

A shocking video has emerged on social media of a man’s face being stomped on during a brawl between two groups in Fortitude Valley.

The fight is believed to have occurred on Saturday just after midnight, outside Valley Metro complex on Brunswick Street.

Both groups appear to throw several punches before the video ends with a man’s head being stomped on.

It is unclear what provoked the fight between the two groups.

It comes just months after a separate altercation between two groups in July resulted in the alleged stabbing murder of Lauie Michael Tagaloa.

Mr Tagaloa was at the Valley Metro complex in Fortitude Valley about 4am on Monday July 11 when a fight broke out between two groups of men who were unknown to each other.

Footage of the altercation showed Mr Tagaloa, 24, receive a wound to his neck before collapsing to the ground.

It is unclear what provoked the fight between the two groups.

Witnesses and paramedics performed CPR at the scene but Mr Tagaloa could not be saved.

Seyram Kwami Djentuh, 20, has been charged with one count of murder.
