Seven teens charged after stolen car crashes

Seven teenagers have been charged – including two 14-year-olds – after an alleged stolen car driving on the wrong side of the road smashed into another vehicle.

Seven teenagers have been charged including two 14-year-olds after an alleged stolen car driving on the wrong side of the road smashed into another vehicle.

Police allege the stolen white Nissan X-Trail was driving on the incorrect side of the road when it collided with the other car at the intersection of Anzac Ave and Anzac Ave Service Road at Kallangur about 10.50am on Thursday.

The occupants of the other car weren’t physically injury.

The six teenagers inside the car fled the scene but were taken into custody a short time later at Kallangur Railway

The car was allegedly stolen from a Wondai property between 3pm to 11pm on Thursday night.

A 14-year-old Murgon boy was charged with one count each of enter dwelling and commit, possessing dangerous drugs, receiving tainted property, unlawful use of motor vehicle in company, enter dwelling with intent by break, and attempted enter dwelling with intent.

A 15-year-old Cherbourg boy was charged with one count each of enter dwelling and commit, receiving tainted property, unlawful use of motor vehicle in company, enter dwelling with intent by break, and attempted enter dwelling with intent.

A 14-year-old Cherbourg girl was charged with one count each of enter dwelling and commit, receiving tainted property, and unlawful use of motor vehicle in company.

A 16-year-old Cherbourg boy was charged with one count each of enter premises and commit indictable offence, receiving tainted property, and unlawful use of motor vehicle in company.

All five teenagers are due to face Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on April 28.

A 19-year-old Cherbourg man was charged with two counts of attempted enter dwelling and commit, and one count each of receiving tainted property, enter dwelling and commit, unlawful use of motor vehicle in company, and attempted enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence.

He is due to face Kingaroy Magistrates Court on May 16.

A seventh teenager was charged in relation to allegedly stealing the car from the Wondai property.

The 16-year-old Cherbourg boy has been charged with one count each of enter dwelling with intent by break, attempted enter dwelling with intent, enter premises and commit indictable offence, receiving tainted property, and unauthorised use of a motor vehicle in company.

He was expected to front Brisbane Childrens' Court on Saturday.
