A 63-year-old man has been charged with more than 100 child sex offences following a Queensland Police operation across the Wide Bay Burnett and Capricornia regions.
Detectives from Brisbane City Child Protection Investigation Unit (CPIU) charged the 63-year-old man with more than 100 child sex offences as part of Operation Victor Dialect.
The operation was launched in October 2023 to investigate alleged offences that occurred between 1980 and 1991 in various locations, allegedly involving multiple children.
Detectives arrested the 63-year-old at East Brisbane on Thursday.
He has been charged with 96 counts of indecent treatment of girls under 16, eight counts of indecent assault on females, and one count of indecent assault.
He is due to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court today, January 26.
