A Queensland pharmacist who has worked in public hospitals and pharmacies around the state for a decade has been suspended by the healthcare watchdog.

Kristy Elisha Farley was suspended by the state’s health ombudsman on June 14, which means that she is banned from practising as a pharmacist for the duration of the suspension.

The health ombudsman did not give a reason for the suspension, which will remain until either the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal sets the decision aside or the health ombudsman revokes the suspension imposed.

The Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency register of practitioners states that Ms Farley is from Southport on the Gold Coast.

She was first registered in the profession in January 2014 and graduated with a bachelor degree in pharmaceutical sciences and a master of pharmacy in 2013.

Her LinkedIn profile states that she has worked as a senior clinical pharmacist for Queensland Health since 2018, as a relief pharmacist for rural and remote areas.
