Rusty, the eight-week-old merle pug, has been reunited with his owners after a successful Christmas morning police raid in Toowoomba.

The pet was allegedly stolen from Glenvale on Christmas Eve but was located safe and well after police raided a home in Toowoomba South.

Rusty was quickly taken back to the Toowoomba police station where he snuck in a quick photo shoot before being reunited with his elated owners.

In a post to social media, QPS called the operation a Christmas miracle.

A 21-year-old man 20-year-old woman, both of Toowoomba South, have been charged with one count of stealing.
