A protective services worker has faced court accused of assaulting a woman at Police Headquarters in Brisbane while on duty.
Michael Leonard Hong, 58, faced Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday for the matter’s first mention.
It’s alleged Mr Hong assaulted a woman on October 18 last year at Police Headquarters on Roma Street.
Mr Hong, a One Mile resident, was charged on January 23 with one count of common assault.
Police confirmed at that time that he had been suspended from service.
At Mr Hong’s court mention on Thursday, defence lawyer AJ Faisal requested the matter be listed for a long plea date for sentence.
The matter was adjourned to March 14, and Mr Hong was granted bail.
He made no comment to media while exiting the court.
