Detectives are investigating the death of a man on Brisbane’s northside.
A police investigation centre has been set up after the man was found unresponsive at a home in Stafford and later died in hospital.
It’s unclear how the 37-year-old died, however police are treating his death as suspicious at this stage.
Police say the man was located at his Collier St unit by a relative on Wednesday, April 20.
The Courier-Mail understands it was the man’s mother who found him unresponsive before phoning triple-0.
The man died at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital about midday on Tuesday.
The circumstances of his death are still under investigation, as detectives work to determine the man’s movements prior to April 20.
According to one neighbour, the man has a young son and was recently married.
The neighbour, who did not want to be named, said the man was “a great guy, a f***ing awesome dude,” and that “everyone loved him”.
It’s understood detectives have been at the unit complex speaking with neighbours for most of the week.
