Police negotiating with man at Spring Hill unit complex

Police are negotiating with man holed up in a unit complex in inner-Brisbane this morning.

Brisbane police are negotiating with a man at a unit complex.

Police are currently negotiating with a man, who was initially thought to be armed, at a unit complex in Spring Hill.

It is understood police were called to a mental health incident on Gregory Terrace about 5.30am.

A police spokeswoman said the man was not armed despite initial reports and there was no threat to public safety.

“Police are on scene responding to a mental health incident,” she said  

The incident was ongoing around 9.30am.
