Police investigating suspicious fire at Burpengary Pines retirement village
Police have declared a crime scene at a Moreton Bay retirement village after a suspicious fire broke out in a toilet block before dawn.
A crime scene has been declared following a suspicious fire at a retirement village north of Brisbane this morning.
Emergency services were called to Morayfield Rd, Burpengary at 4.40am after a fire inside a toilet block at an over 50s living Burpengary Pines Village, allegedly started from a bin.
The blaze was brought under control within 15 minutes, but the windows had been damaged with the interior charred.
Police taped off the dwelling as investigations were ongoing.
Burpengary Pines declined to comment when approached by The Courier-Mail.
