Police are investigating the sudden death of a man on the southern Gold Coast.
Emergency services were called to a home at Golden Four Drive, Tugun, shortly before 3pm on Friday where they made the gruesome discovery of a dead body.
Workers at the neighbouring JJ’s Takeaway shop said they tried to revive the man without success.
“There was a lot of blood and he passed away,” one said.
“It’s very sad.”
The workers said the man, believed to be aged in his early 40s, had lived in the units behind the shop for about 10 years.
Police are preparing a report for the Coroner, but are not treating his death as suspicious at this time.
