A woman was found dead inside a house at Victoria Point southeast of Brisbane on Sunday afternoon.

The woman’s body was found by police and emergency services when they went to the Elysian St home about 2.40pm.

Those inside the home at the time were interviewed by police with officers now treating the death as non-suspicious.

A report will now be prepared for the Coroner.

A neighbour said it was “pretty scary” to have police in the street investigating a death.

“It certainly isn’t nice to have that so close to home,” the woman said.

She said that while she has lived next door to the home where the body of a woman was found for eight months, she had rarely seen the home’s occupants.

“They mostly keep to themselves,” she said.

“I pretty much never see them.”
