Police investigate gunshot fired at home in Brisbane’s south

Detectives are investigating after a gunshot was fired at the window of a home in Brisbane’s south overnight.

Gunman opens fire in Logan shooting

A single gunshot was fired into a home in Brisbane’s south overnight.

Police were called to a property on Karen Court at Runcorn about 11pm following the incident, which saw a single bullet pass through a window at the home.

It is understood police believe the incident was not random, and investigators have reassured the public there is no ongoing threat.

Detectives from both Operation Uniform Dagobah, which was established to investigate recent public acts of violence, including shootings, in the South Brisbane and Logan districts, and Operation Uniform Mercury, are investigating.

Anyone with information, dashcam, or CCTV of the area overnight are asked to contact police.

The incident comes less than two weeks after two homes in Logan were involved in separate shooting incidents.

A woman was shot in the face at Crestmead at 3.30pm Saturday, October 15, in an incident police believe to be linked to the ownership of a motorbike, while just hours later a man was blasted with a shotgun, also in the face, by persons unknown outside his Eagleby home.

There is no indication any of the three incidents are linked.
