Police are investigating after an employee was threatened with a knife at a Mount Gravatt East service station. The armed robbery occurred at a 7/11 on Creek Rd around 5.46am on Friday morning.
Officers were called to the business following reports a male had allegedly entered the store and threatened an employee with a knife.
The offender then stole cash from the till before leaving the scene on foot.
The employee, a man in his 20s, was physically uninjured.
In a separate incident fruit and vegetable shop ‘Crisp on Creek’ across the road was robbed at around 6am on Thursday morning.
Owners Monica and Peter Habchi said three customers entered the store and fled with $500 worth of stock loaded into their trolley.
“They ran out, there was just stuff strewn all over the car. That is how full it was, they didn’t take any fruit or veggies or anything,” she said.
“They just took the most expensive stuff.”
Ms Habchi said they loaded the goods into the back of their car and fled the scene.
Ms Habchi has since been in contact with Queensland Police.
Anyone who may have been in the area at that time, who may have relevant dashcam vision of the incidents is urged to contact police.
Investigations are ongoing.
