Police investigate after man stabbed in back, chest

An investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed at a private property south of Brisbane overnight.

Police are investigating after a man was stabbed in the back and chest at a Logan property overnight.

The 35-year-old man was treated by critical care paramedics after he was allegedly stabbed at a private residence near Kent St at Beenleigh about 11.40pm.

Nobody has been charged over the incident and police said investigations were continuing.

According to police, the man presented himself at the Beenleigh police station and said he had also been struck in the neck by a hammer that same day.

The injured man was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
