Parents charged with baby’s murder, torture, appear in court

Court documents have revealed the couple charged with murdering their baby son are alleged to have tortured him previously in his short life.

The father of an infant killed at his home in Yugar allegedly tortured the baby and assaulted him while armed with an offensive instrument before he allegedly murdered the baby, according to court documents.

Police charged Reinhardt (Ryan) Albert Bosch, 33, and his partner, Noemi Kondacs, 22, with murder and torture on Thursday night following the death of their seven-month-old son Rhuan Immanuel.

Bosch and Kondacs appeared separately in Brisbane Magistrates Court charged with the murder of little Rhuan Bosch this morning.

According to court documents Bosch, a youth carer, allegedly tortured Rhuan and assaulted him while armed with an offensive instrument causing bodily harm between April 11 and November 2, when he allegedly murdered the baby.

Police allege Kondacs tortured and murdered the baby over the same time period but has not been charged with assaulting Rhuan while armed with an offensive instrument causing bodily harm.

The offences allegedly occurred at a Yugar home on Mount Samson Rd.

According to court documents Bosch was born in Pretoria, South Africa, and Kondacs was born in Stuttgart, Germany.

Lawyer Mark Platt of Sun and Co Lawyers appeared on behalf of both defendants but said alternative representation would be arranged for Kondacs.

The couple appeared via video link and nodded their heads when told their matters would be adjourned.

Magistrates do not have jurisdiction to hear bail applications for murder charges.

Their matters were adjourned to December 5.

A supporter of the couple who sat in court did not speak to media outside court.

Mr Platt declined to comment.

The couple have been jointly charged with murder and torture - domestic violence offences.

Bosch is also facing a charge of assault occasioning bodily harm - domestic violence offence.
