Pacific Motorway car chase: Three arrested after attempted break-in

Three people have been arrested after a chase involving an allegedly stolen car that ended with a manhunt through nearby properties and parks.

Three people have been taken into custody after police chased an alleged stolen car along the Pacific Motorway south of Brisbane on Friday afternoon.

Around 3.15pm, Police were alerted to an attempted break-in at a Nigaloo Dr address in Pimpama, with a black car seen fleeing the scene shortly after.

When it entered the Pacific Motorway, a tyre deflation device was deployed on the vehicle, causing it to stop soon after in the southbound lane near Oxenford.

The occupants of the car ran from the scene on foot, with one found in the backyard of a property and the other two in a nearby park.

All three are in police custody.

Investigations are continuing.
