Notorious bikie Toby Mitchell has been booted from the Mongols outlaw motorcycle gang in a move set to trigger potentially deadly new underworld tensions.

Gangland sources say the Instafamous Melbourne-based bikie, who has survived multiple assassination attempts, was ousted from the gang on Friday night after angering senior Mongols figures including alleged Gold Coast-based national president Nick “The Knife” Forbes.

A senior Mongols insider said Mitchell, 47, was thrown out of the feared gang for claims he was “running with dogs” – specifically a police witness in a manslaughter case against club member and ex-soldier Lachlan Floyd who was jailed for six-and – a-half years in 2017 for the fatal shooting of his ex-girlfriend’s new partner, Stuart Townsend.

“Mitchell was booted last night for running with dogs even after being repeatedly warned,” a senior Mongols insider claimed.

“There was a 100 per cent vote against him, even from people who are loyal to him. He thought he was bigger than the club but we don’t tolerate bad behaviour and he’s gone, bad.

“He’s all over Instagram and likes to boast that he was in charge of the club.”

The heavily-tattooed Mitchell, who has more than 300,000 Instagram followers, is a former kickboxer and ex-Bandidos bikie gang enforcer who patched over to the Mongols in 2019.

He was shot six times outside a Brunswick gym in Melbourne in 2011 while sergeant-at-arms at the Bandidos.

Mitchell spent weeks in intensive care, underwent 30 operations and lost a kidney, gall bladder and most of his liver.

He was shot again in 2013 in another attempt on his life.

Mitchell has spent time behind bars for drug and weapons offences and is appealing a two-month sentence for an assault at a Victorian country pub while celebrating his 47th birthday last December.

He had posted photos of his birthday cake on Instagram which featured Mongols, Harley- Davidson, Rolex and Grey Goose vodka logos.

Mitchell also posted videos of gang members drinking shots on the street and riding around town on their motorbikes.

Mitchell’s Instagram profile describes him as a personal trainer and reads: “Rule #1 never be #2. Trust No1”.
