A motorcyclist has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition after a crash with a vehicle at Stapylton this afternoon.

A motorcyclist is fighting for life after a crash with another vehicle at Stapylton earlier this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to a vehicle and motorcycle incident on Stapylton Jacobs Well Road just before 2.30pm.
Paramedics including critical care and the high acuity response unit treated the rider at the scene before transporting him to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle was also treated for minor injuries.
Police have closed the road in both directions and urged motorists to avoid the area.
