Motorcyclist dead after crash with vehicle

A motorcyclist is confirmed dead after a crash with another vehicle at Meadowbrook south of Brisbane.

A male motorcyclist has been confirmed dead after a crash in the Logan suburb of Meadowbrook on Monday afternoon.

The crash between a motorcycle and another vehicle on Ellersie Rd happened about 3.25pm.

Paramedics treated the man at the scene for critical injuries, but he did not survive.

The female driver of the vehicle was taken to Logan Hospital in a stable condition.

Meanwhile, motorists faced extensive delays after a truck overturned at Kangaroo Point in inner Brisbane during peak hour.

Emergency services were called to the crash on Shafston Ave about 5.30pm, with major delays around side streets near the Story Bridge and outbound traffic.

It comes after a toddler was hit by a car in Newmarket about 4.30pm. Paramedics responded to the incident on Ashgrove Ave and Enoggera Road and assessed a female toddler in a stable condition with leg injuries.

The little girl was transported to the Queensland Children’s Hospital accompanied by high Acuity Response Unit paramedics.
