More than 30 stolen vehicles and two firearms, a flame thrower seized in Pallara bust

Firearms, flame throwers and more than 30 stolen vehicles have been uncovered in a major police raid at a property in Brisbane’s south.

More than 30 vehicles, including a luxury Mercedes Benz, tow truck and firearms have been seized by Queensland Police from a property south of Brisbane.

Police conducted a search warrant of a Pallara property on Thursday after they sighted a stolen vehicle at a Sweets Rd property, before locating a second stolen vehicle about 1pm.

Body-warn camera footage released by police shows a vacant dirt lot surrounded by bushland where the alleged stolen cars were held. In the footage some cars could be seen with their bonnets open, other cars jacked up and missing tyres.

A white Mercedes Benz, multiple utes, and a bright orange and yellow kayak are among the alleged stolen items seen in the video.

Police allegedly seized 31 stolen cars including motorbikes, a tipper truck and a tow truck in the bust.

A shipping container was also located on the property, as well as an excavator, a quantity of drugs, two firearms and a flame thrower.

A 43-year-old Gatton man has been charged with 22 counts of unlawful possession of motor vehicles and one count of possessing dangerous drugs.

He was remanded in custody and is expected to reappear before the Richlands Magistrates Court on September 23.

A 49-year-old Pallara woman has been charged with 22 counts of unlawful possession of motor vehicles.

She is expected to appear before the Richlands Magistrates Court on October 18.

A 41-year-old Pallara man was also arrested and is assisting police with inquiries.
