Emergency services were called to a Kentville Street residence in Mitchelton about 8.50am Thursday.

Two crime scenes have been declared, one at the place where the deaths occurred and another at a nearby vehicle, while police continue to investigate the circumstances of the death.

Police said there were several lines of enquiry underway while investigators speak to witnesses.

The residents of the house where the car was left in the morning told The Courier-Mail they woke up to a random vehicle outside their house.

“There were a lot of police cars and a car that doesn’t belong there in front of the mailbox,” she said.

“It is incredibly weird because it has zero contact or relation to anyone that’s in this house.”

It is understood the car came from the house where the incident occurred.

“However, if it’s down the road, then I guess it’d probably just be a nearby dump for them,” she said.

Nearby resident Trudy Prickett said she saw the man who was taken in hazmat soon later move the car from the house down the street.

“I saw him putting a black box of some sort into the car and locking it up and going back to the car,” she said.

“He was frantic, I was a bit surprised by it.”

Half of Kentville Street was closed Thursday morning, marked off with police cars and tape cordoning off two houses – the house where the incident occurred on Kentville Street and another house on Karravin Street further down.

A man in a hazmat suit was seen being escorted into a police car waiting in the street.

No charges have been laid.
