Man stabbed to death, woman assisting detectives

A 51-year Central Queensland man has died after he was stabbed in the chest, with police now questioning a woman – believed to be his partner – over the incident.

A man has been stabbed to death while a woman, understood to be his partner, is being questioned by homicide detectives.

The 51-year-old man died after he was stabbed once in the chest at a Norman Gardens home in Rockhampton about midday yesterday.

Emergency services rushed to the Cypress Ave scene before taking the man to hospital, where he later passed away as a result of the stab wound.

A woman, 48, believed to be the man’s partner, is today assisting police with their investigation.

Anyone that has any information that could help further the investigation is urged to come forward, as detectives continue to piece together what happened in the lead up to the man’s grisly death.
