Man stabbed in neck at Gold Coast residence

A man has been stabbed in the neck at a residence in the Gold Coast on Thursday night.

A man has been stabbed in the neck at a residence in the Gold Coast on Thursday night.

The incident happened at a residence in Middle St, Labrador, about 8.45pm.

The 31-year-old was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital with stab wounds to the neck.

It was not yet understood how the incident occurred.

A police spokeswoman said two men are assisting with their inquires.

“We have middle street closed off until further notice as well as one westbound lane of Brisbane Rd,” a spokeswoman said.

“A crime scene has been declared.”

An ambulance spokeswoman said crews arrived at the scene about 8.55pm and the man was transported in a stable condition shortly after.

“A conscious male, bleeding controlled, was transported to hospital,” she said.
