Three people have been charged following a road rage incident that left a man with facial injuries on the Gold Coast overnight.
Police allege a white MG and a blue Mazda pulled over along Steves Way in Coomera about 11pm on Friday and an altercation occurred following a road rage incident.
A 28-year-old Nerang from the white MG sustained non-life-threatening facial injuries and was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
The three other occupants of that vehicle sustained minor injuries but were not taken to hospital.
The Mazda left the scene prior to police arrival.
Police conducted patrols of the area before locating the vehicle parked on O’Reilly Drive about 11.30pm.
A 20-year-old Biggera Waters man, a 21-year-old Marsden man and a 36-year-old Marsden man were taken into custody at the scene.
They have each been charged with one count of wounding and two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, and are due to appear at Southport Magistrates Court on July 11.
Investigations are ongoing as authorities work to determine the exact circumstances of the altercation.
