While police originally believed the man had been shot, they now believe he was bashed to death.

It is understood police are yet to formally identify the man because of the injuries to his face and head, and the amount of blood at the crime scene.

Police are also investigating the possibility of a blunt object being used.

A crime scene has been declared and investigations are ongoing. No charges have been laid.

A 35-year-old man, who is in hospital, and a 57-year-old Kingston woman are assisting police with their inquiries.
