Man dies in custody at Brisbane watch-house
A man in his 40s has died in custody at the Brisbane watch-house, triggering an investigation.

A man has died after he became unresponsive while in custody at Brisbane watch-house.
The Ethical Standards command is now investigating after the 41-year-old man from Zilmere died on July 19.
He was arrested on an outstanding warrant at a Morningside residence on July 16 and was taken to the Brisbane City Watch-house.
About 5pm, the man became unresponsive.
Watch-house and nursing staff gave him first aid before other emergency services arrived, however the man was declared dead about 6pm.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the man’s death.
This matter remains under investigation by the Ethical Standards Command on behalf of the State Coroner, with independent oversight by the Crime and Corruption Commission.
