A man has tragically died after his car smashed into a tree in a late-night crash on the Sunshine Coast.

A man has died after his car smashed into a tree in a late-night crash on the Sunshine Coast.

The man was driving a Mazda sedan along Eumundi Noosa Road at Doonan shortly after 11pm Friday when the car left the roadway and crashed into a tree.

A Sunshine Coast man in his 40s, the driver and sole occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators from the Forensic Crash Unit are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to come forward.

The news comes after another two separate incidents on Sunshine Coast roads on Friday evening.

Paramedics attended a two-vehicle crash on Ballinger Road at 7.12pm and transported two patients to the Sunshine Coast University hospital.

A male patient in his 30s with spinal pain was transported in a stable condition while a female patient in her late teens was transported in a serious condition with multiple fractures to the arm, leg and pelvis.

At 6.55pm a stable female patient in her 60s was transported with minor injuries to Nambour Hospital after a two-vehicle crash on the corner of Moorindil Street and Poinciana Ave.
