Man critically injured, another man arrested after horror Ipswich pedestrian crash
Police are inspecting a car with a smashed windscreen and speaking with multiple people after a man was critically injured and another was arrested following a horror pedestrian crash.

A male pedesterian was fighting for his life and another man was in custody after an accident in Ipswich on Wednesday afternoon.
The accident happened in Fernvale Rd, Brassall, just before 1pm.
According to a Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman, a man in his 30s with a significant head injury was taken to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
Police will allege the car left the scene after hitting the pedestrian.
The car was located at Caribou Dr and a crime scene has been established.
Police were seen taking photos of a Mitsubishi Outlander with a cracked windscreen parked in a garage on Caribou Dr, around the corner from the scene of the crash.
A neighbour said they heard yelling and arguing in the house on Wednesday morning, including, “don’t tell me what to do”.
Police also inspected a house close to the scene of the crash, with neighbours saying they had witnessed confrontations between the people who they believe live there.
The residents of the home refused to comment. .
A Queensland Police Service spokesman confirmed a man was taken into custody following the incident.
“Police have taken a man into custody following a traffic crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian in Brassall this afternoon, July 9,” the spokesman said.
“Around 1pm, police and emergency services were called to a Fernvale Road address following reports a person was hit by a vehicle.
“The vehicle has been located and a crime scene declared.
“Police are not looking for anyone else in relation to this investigation.”
The eastbound lane of Fernvale Rd near Bourke St, Brassall was blocked following the incident.
Diversions were in place and motorists were urged to avoid the area and to expect delays.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
