Man charged over stabbing at Kallangur home north of Brisbane

A man has been charged over the stabbing of a 43-year-old man at a home north of Brisbane this morning.

Police provided first aid before the 28-year-old was transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a stable condition.

A man has been charged over the stabbing of a 43-year-old man at a home north of Brisbane this morning.

Police were called to a Duffield Road residence in Kallangur just before 1am, where officers located the man with a stab wound to his stomach.

It’s alleged a 28-year-old Kallangur man attended the address and smashed a bedroom window.

When the victim opened the front door to investigate he was then allegedly stabbed by the man.

Police provided first aid before he was transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a stable condition.

The 28-year-old man was located nearby and was taken into custody this morning.

Its believed the men are known to each other.

Police have since charged the 28-year-old in relation to the alleged stabbing.

He was charged with one count each of wounding, wilful damage and contravene a domestic violence order.

His bail has been refused and he is expected to appear before Pine Rivers Magistrates Court this morning (September 16).
