A man and young boy have been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a water tubing accident in the Western Downs region.
The Courier Mail understands the man in his 40s and child were riding in an inflatable ski tube on Caliguel Lagoon, south of Miles, when they hit a tree about midday on Saturday.
Paramedics treated the boy for serious back injuries and the man for chest and arm injuries.
They were both flown by rescue helicopter to Toowoomba Hospital in serious conditions.
The lagoon, located 7km south of Condamine, is a popular holiday park for locals to enjoy waterskiing, boating and swimming.
The holiday park recently underwent a $1.2 million revamp.
