Man ‘bored with wife’ masturbated while propositioning best friend

An Indian man has admitted to exposing his penis to his wife’s friend and telling her he wished she was his girlfriend, a court heard. WARNING: Distressing content.

An Indian man has admitted to exposing himself in front of his wife’s friend and telling her he wished she was his girlfriend, a court heard.

Lovepreet Sandhu, 27, pleaded guilty to one count each of indecent exposure and common assault on Tuesday in Beenleigh District Court.

The court heard that the man told his wife to have a shower before sitting next to her friend, after he returned home in July 2023.

He exposed his penis and masturbated in front of her and told her he wanted her to be his girlfriend as he was bored of his wife.

He continued to expose his private parts although she told him that she did not wish to have a relationship with him.

He then followed her as she attempted to leave before repeatedly touching her lower back.

He then warned her not to tell his wife what happened or else she would kick the woman out of the house.

As the woman became distressed following his actions, she disclosed the context to someone, but Sandhu denied the inappropriate act and made a false account when he was confronted by police.

The court was told that he had good community ties and had quit drinking, which was one of the causes behind the offending.

Judge Amanda McDonnell said his conduct towards the woman was disgraceful.

“It’s caused her to be anxious and limited her social circle, because she’s fearful of having contact with you or your wife,” she said.

“She’s lost her independence and her confidence and recently was unable to answer the door again.

“It’s impacts her sleep, and she’s had to take counselling to address the impact of your offending.”

Ms McDonnell sentenced him to six months’ jail, wholly suspended for 12 months, and 12-month probation.

Convictions were both recorded.
