A man was shot in the face in what police believe was a targeted attack by two men wearing clown masks, who police are still searching for.
Police were called to a property on Sparkes Rd, Bray Park, north of Brisbane on Saturday about 2.30pm after the two men threatened a 51-year-old man with a gun and a taser, fired two shots, and then fled.
Acting Senior Sergeant Mark Spencer said officers arrived on scene to a male with superficial injuries to his face as a result of what was believed to be one of the gunshots.
Sen Sgt Spencer said police were yet to confirm the type of gun or the round that struck the male victim but said “two rounds were fired”.
“The first round was fired in the air as a warning type shot and the second round was fired into the face of the male victim after a minor struggle,” he said.
“One of the offenders involved produced a taser while the other one was waiting outside with the firearm.”
Police believe a silver sedan may have dropped the two men off and picked them up.
Sen Sgt Spencer said the victim stated he had never seen either of the two males before.
“The description we have got is two caucasian males approximately 20-25 years of age both wearing clown face masks and hi-viswork shirts,” he said.
Sen Sgt Spencer said the alleged perpetrators demanded drugs in what is believed to be a “targeted attack”.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics took the victim to The Prince Charles Hospital in a stable condition with facial injuries.
