A man has been charged after a horror hit-and-run at Loganlea south of Brisbane on Tuesday.

A motorcyclist was travelling north along Kingston Rd on an unregistered bike before striking a pedestrian and allegedly fleeing the scene.

A 21-year-old man surrendered to police on Thursday and was charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle causing grievous bodily harm, failing to remain at the scene and other offences.

He will appear at Beenleigh magistrates Court on April 1.

Pedestrian Connor McLeod, 25, remains in an induced coma in hospital.

His fiancee Anneliese Rodger expressed relief charges had been laid.

“Connor is the type of person if he sees someone in need, he’s right there helping,” she said.

“He’s always trying to do what he can for everyone, and he cares about his family more than anything else.”

She asked anyone who would like to support her family to donate via GoFundMe.
