Logan Central man dies after fall from South Brisbane balcony

A young man has died after falling from a seventh-storey balcony in South Brisbane overnight with an investigation underway.

A 20-year-old Logan Central man has died after falling seven storeys from a balcony in Brisbane overnight.

Paramedics arrived at a Manning St address in South Brisbane just after midnight after the man fell. He died at the scene.

The incident happened at Atlas Apartments.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman confirmed the incident was being treated as non-suspicious.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.

Atlas Apartments released a statement on Monday evening following the incident.

“In relation to the tragic incident that occurred at Atlas Apartments, South Brisbane on Monday, August 19, Cllix Apartments and Hotels extends its sincerest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased,” it read.

“As this matter is under investigation by the Queensland Police Service (QPS), any information or enquiries should be directed to them in the first instance.”
