The man accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child in a plot carried out with his new partner posted bitterly about lost love on social media accounts that police have labelled “distressing”.
Kiesha Thompson, 23, had just walked her little girl to daycare on Friday morning when she was struck by a Toyota Prado as she walked along the footpath of Allamanda Dr in Daisy Hill.
Police have alleged the Prado was being driven by Ms Thompson’s ex-partner’s new girlfriend, 24-year-old Larissa Rita Mae-Leigh Sant.
Both Sant and Ms Thompson’s ex-partner, Tyler Scott William James, 27, have been charged with murder.
Both murder accused used TikTok to post about relationships, with James’ account captioned “Never trusting again!”.
James’ single post is a montage of images of him with a young child and a voiceover that says: “They say when you meet the love of your life, time stops.”
But it’s the dozens of reposts that appear to reference attitudes towards personal relationships.
“Every guy has that one girl in their life that they’d drop anything for, and the crazy part is they aren’t even together…” one says.
Sant’s account describes her as a “mumma to three boys” and also includes many posts about relationships.
Another, posted in May, says: “Maybe I’m single, maybe I’m taken. Maybe I’m talking to your ex, maybe I’m showing him what you couldn’t. Maybe I’m home, maybe I’m not. Or maybe you should mind your own business homie.”
Dozens more feature Sant lip-synching to songs or performing TikTok dances.
Some are captions with words like “I found him” or “can’t stop me falling for you”.
Detective Inspector Chris Knight confirmed police were aware of the accounts and that they were being examined by investigators.
He said requests had been made to have some of the material taken down.
“When I learned of those posts, it’s distressing on so many levels, but most importantly, the grief that causes the surviving victims of this, it’s difficult to put into words,” he said.
“We’ve taken steps to get those posts examined... but also taken steps to take those posts down.
“It’s inexplicable.”
