A woman accused of killing her love rival by running her down is living with her mother and working at a takeaway shop in Brisbane’s southwest while on bail, it can be revealed.
Larissa Rita Mae-Leigh Sant was spotted wearing bright Grinch-themed pants and matching green top while reporting for bail at the Goodna police station on Friday after being dropped off by her mother Donna.
Sant checked in with police as part of her strict bail, granted on in the Supreme Court on December 18.
It can be revealed the mother-of-three has been allowed to work at Saint Ives Carvery at Goodna Marketplace where her mum also works, the court heard last month.
Carvery owner Duyen My Phan told the court in his affidavit that he was “pleased to offer” Sant a part-time job making coffees and preparing sandwiches at his takeaway shop despite her pending trial.
“I am aware that Larissa has been charged with murder,” Mr Phan told the court.
Sant, who spent five months in prison on remand, must live with her mum at a rented Goodna address as part of her bail conditions, she must also wear a GPS tracker ankle bracelet.
The mother-of-three is charged with killing 23-year-old Kiesha Amanda Thompson outside a childcare centre in Daisy Hill last year, just minutes after she dropped her one-year-old daughter off.
She is alleged to have deliberately driven her Toyota Prado at Thompson on July 19 last year, hitting her, then driving away in her own car with fake registration plates attached.
Police allege the motive for the killing was because she was dating mechanic Tyler Scott William James and he wanted to win legal battles with his ex-partner Thompson.
James met Sant on Tinder and dated for five months, prosecutors allege.
James also allegedly told two friends he wanted to kill Thompson, police state in court documents.
Sant is charged with murder and is alleged to be the principal offender as the driver of the car, while co-accused James is alleged to have aided or counselled Sant in their shared murder plot, or alternatively that they planned to intimidate Thompson and intentional killing was a probable consequence of this.
“I intend to plead not guilty,” Sant states in her affidavit, her lawyer argued that what caused the car to mount the kerb was a “matter of conjecture”.
The Sunday Mail revealed last week that during her time behind bars Sant exchanged dramatic phone calls, referred to in court documents, with her mum Donna, where the 63-year-old urges her 24-year-old daughter to “save herself” from taking the rap for Thompson’s death at Daisy Hill in the City of Logan.
Sant is also on a curfew as part of her bail and must be home by 8.30pm each night and stay there until 6am, and she is banned from contacting James and two other prosecution witnesses.
Sant’s case is due back in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on February 26.
