Police have launched a homicide investigation after a man died after being stabbed multiple times at a house west of Brisbane, with a fire also lit at the scene.

A man has died after reportedly being stabbed a number of times at a house at Laidley, in the Lockyer Valley west of Brisbane.
Police have launched a homicide investigation after they were called to the home on Patrick St around 9.50pm.
The 48-year-old man died a short time after emergency crews arrived at the scene.
Police say a fire had also been deliberately lit at the property with the house well alight by the time crews arrived.
The fire was put out by 10.35.
Investigations are continuing.
