A Gold Coast influencer has captured dramatic video footage of a mystery police raid on the Glitter Strip.
Ellidy Pullin, widow of champion snowboarder Alex ‘Chumpy’ Pullin, posted video of the large-scale police operation at Currumbin Waters on the southern Glitter Strip to her Instagram story overnight on Thursday.
It showed cops storming the Bradshaw Dr house and jumping the front fence.
Ms Pullin said she had parked her car to get her licence renewed at the nearby Department of Transport office, and was applying her lipstick for her photo, when she saw the drama unfold.
“I’m just trying to get ready for my renewing-my-licence photo and I’ve parked outside this house … holy s. t, they’re (police) coming to move my car,” she said on the video as officers swarmed the residence.
The house had a sovereign citizen-style sign on the front fence warning “all men and women, acting as agents … for and on behalf of any Corporation or Entity” from trespassing.
The house neighbours busy Currumbin Creek Rd and Thursday’s midmorning raid was witnessed by a large number of people, some of whom took to a local community Facebook page to discuss it.
“What’s happening Currumbin Creek Rd and Bradshaw Drive, five police cars and vans,” one person posted.
Police have been contacted for comment but have not yet released details on the raid.
Ms Pullin, who has more than 320,000 Instagram followers, voices the popular Darling, Shine! Podcast with best mate Chloe Fisher, wife of former pro surfer turned international DJ Paul ‘The Fish’ Fisher.
Ms Pullin is a solo mum to two-year-old Minnie Pullin, who was conceived using sperm harvested from Chumpy, a world champion and Olympic snowboarder, after his shock death in a spearfishing accident at Palm Beach on the Gold Coast in July 2020.
Police confirmed they attended a Currumbin Waters property on Wednesday as part of an ongoing investigation.
“A search of the residence at Bradshaw Drive resulted in police being unable to locate a person of interest,” a spokesman said.
“Investigations are continuing. There are no further details available at this time.”
